ReadyServer VPS FAQ
Quick answers to common questions. For a full walkthrough, see the ReadyServer VPS User Guide.
Getting Started & Account
Good news — you can look after both your account and your VPS right from your phone with the ReadyServer mobile app.
Straight from the app, you can:
- Top up your account balance
- Check your invoices and payment history
- Spin up new VPS instances
- See your VPS login details and public IP address
- Power your VPS on or off, or reboot it
- Jump into Console Mode or Rescue Mode whenever you need to troubleshoot
That covers all your everyday essentials — no computer required.
For the deeper, hands-on work — installing software, configuring your server, managing files, or working on the command line — you'll get the smoothest experience by connecting straight to your VPS with SSH (Linux) or Remote Desktop (Windows), since it's a self-managed service. Console Access in the app is always there if you're ever in a pinch, but for serious admin work we'd suggest reaching for a PC or laptop, where you have more room to work comfortably.
Download the Ready Server app and top up your account. Your top-up is converted into Ready Server Points, which pay for your VPS usage and related services.
Credits that your top-up amount is converted into. They are used to pay for your VPS usage and related services.
To create your first VPS:
- Download and install the Ready Server mobile app.
- Top up your account with sufficient Ready Server Points.
- Open the Create VPS section.
- Select your preferred VPS region.
- Select your operating system (Linux or Windows).
- Review the VPS configuration and required points.
- Confirm the VPS deployment.
Your VPS will typically be provisioned within a few minutes.

Creating a VPS
All new VPS instances must be created using the Basic plan first.
After your VPS has been successfully deployed, you can upgrade to higher VPS tiers through the Ready Server app. This allows you to increase your VPS resources gradually according to your requirements.
The Basic VPS plan includes:
- 1 vCPU core
- 4GB RAM
- 100GB storage
- Unmetered data transfer (subject to Fair Use Policy)
No.
The VPS region is permanent once the VPS has been created and cannot be changed.
If you require a VPS in another region, you will need to create a new VPS in the desired location and manually migrate your data and applications.
No.
The operating system must be selected during VPS creation and cannot be changed after deployment.
If you require a different operating system, you will need to create a new VPS with the preferred OS and migrate your data manually.
VPS provisioning usually takes only a few minutes. Once completed, your VPS will be ready to use with the selected operating system installed, network settings configured, and access details available in your account.

Upgrading
Before upgrading your VPS, please ensure the following requirements are met:
- Update your Ready Server mobile app — make sure you are using the latest version of the Ready Server app.
- Power off your VPS — your VPS must be completely powered off before an upgrade can begin. We recommend scheduling a maintenance window as your VPS will be temporarily unavailable during the upgrade process.
- Ensure sufficient Ready Server Points — confirm that your account has enough points to support the upgraded VPS plan usage.
- Start the upgrade process:
- Open the Ready Server app.
- Select your VPS.
- Choose the available upgrade option.
- Review the new VPS specifications and point usage.
- Confirm the upgrade.
Important notes:
- Upgrades are available one tier at a time.
- You cannot skip upgrade levels.
- The next upgrade tier becomes available only after the previous upgrade is completed.
- Upgrades take effect immediately after completion.
- Downgrades are not supported.
- Your existing VPS data and operating system remain unchanged.
No.
A VPS upgrade does not reinstall your operating system or remove your existing data.
Your:
- Files
- Applications
- Configurations
- Databases
will remain unchanged.
However, we strongly recommend maintaining your own backup before performing any upgrade.
Billing & Points
Billing starts after your VPS has been successfully provisioned and is running.
VPS usage is billed hourly based on the selected VPS plan, and Ready Server Points are deducted according to actual usage. Settlement is processed daily at 9:00 AM the following day.
No.
Powering off, shutting down, or stopping your VPS does not stop billing.
Your VPS resources remain allocated, including:
- CPU
- RAM
- Storage
- Public IP address
To stop billing completely, you must delete your VPS.
To stop VPS charges:
- Open the Ready Server app.
- Select your VPS.
- Choose Delete VPS.
- Confirm the deletion.
After deletion:
- Hourly billing stops.
- The VPS will be permanently removed.
- All data stored inside the VPS will be deleted.
Deleted VPS data cannot be recovered.
If your account does not have sufficient Ready Server Points during the daily settlement, your account balance will become negative.
Your VPS services will remain active during a grace period until the next settlement at 9:00 AM.
- If you top up your account before the next 9:00 AM settlement, your services will continue without interruption.
- If no top-up is made, your VPS service may be suspended.
- Services that remain suspended for an extended period may be permanently terminated.
To avoid service interruption, please maintain sufficient points in your account.
Windows licenses are billed separately from VPS usage.
The Windows license fee is deducted on the first day of each month, regardless of when the Windows VPS was activated.
Example:
- Windows VPS activated on 12 February
- 2,880 points deducted on 1 March for the monthly Windows license fee
Please ensure your account has sufficient points before the monthly deduction date.
The change was made to comply with Google Play policy requirements.

There are no changes for Apple (iOS) users.

Customers should maintain their own backup strategy, including:
- Website files

Bandwidth
No — every plan includes unmetered data transfer, with no usage or overage fees under normal use. A simple Fair Usage Policy keeps the network fast and reliable for everyone.
Your bandwidth runs on our shared high-capacity network, so dedicated or guaranteed-minimum bandwidth isn't part of the plan.

Email & Networking
SMTP ports 25, 465, and 587 are blocked by default on Ready Server VPS.
This restriction is implemented to help prevent spam, abuse, and unauthorized email activity on the platform.
Because of this restriction, you cannot operate a mail server that sends outbound emails directly through these standard SMTP ports.
For applications that require email delivery, we recommend using:
- Third-party email providers that support alternative SMTP ports
- API-based email delivery services
You can still run applications on your VPS that send emails through supported external email delivery services.
